With their newly completed Astro pitch recently opened there was an added buzz to the occasion which was increased further by the presence of FAI CEO John Delaney at the event.
Mr. Delaney spent several hours on site and presented medals to the Colga U12B Girls league winning side and engaged in numerous conversations with club members and players. Over 230 children participated on the day and the massive effort from all the volunteers provided a great experience for everyone as always.
The Colga U15 boys League Winning side were also due to receive their medals from Mr. Delaney but an unfortunate injury to Luke Prendergast led to the game being abandoned and the teams focus was solely on their friends well being. We wish Luke a speedy recovery and wishes to thank the St. John's Ambulance staff and the doctors on site who assisted with Luke's treatment.
