However, the side bounced back to their winning streak when it was needed the most, as they overpowered Sion 3:0 in the Cup’s finale, while they also come from a victory, last Sunday evening as the team won over Grasshoppers away from home with a 3:1 result. They were eager to show their best against old rival, taking the lead in 42nd minute via Akanji and even though the hosts equalized in 63rd minute via Ciao, Basel deservedly reached the victory in last five minutes with two goals from Doumbia.
Talented goalkeeper Djordje Nikolic (1/0) is injured, same as midfielders Kevin Bua (3/0) and Davide Calla (27/3) and won’t be playing here.
