Celta Vigo probably should have had a bit easier quarter-finals stage game against Genk, but the team still managed to progress further after getting a 2:1 victory in front of own fans and a scare in the second game which ended with a 1:1 score.
Second game was much more defensive minded one, with neither of the teams risking a lot and creating a lot of chances, as the Spaniards took the lead in 63rd minute via Sisto, while Trossard leveled up just four minutes later, without further change in the scoreline. Celta has lost last three matches in LaLiga (to Betis and Bilbao at home and away to Sevilla), as the team obviously lost their competitive motive and wanted to stay fresh for this clash.
The Spaniards should be playing in a 4-2-3-1 formation, using Guidetti as central striker, but also with Sisto, Wass and Aspas as offensive midfielders. Forward Giuseppe Rossi (18/4) misses this one due knee injury, while questionable with fitness issues remain goalkeeper Ruben Blanco (11/0) and left back Carles Planas (10/0).

Manchester United, on the other side, also probably expected much easier returning leg in the quarter-finals stage, as the team came from a 1:1 draw in the first match against Anderlecht, but failed to be more productive and effective, also ending the ninety minutes with a 1:1 draw.
Mkhitaryan scored the opening goal in tenth minute, but the team from Belgium leveled up in 32nd via Hanni. Players of United remained a bit better till the end of the ninety minutes in quite an open game, but only managed to convert the domination in 107th minute when Rashford scored the winning goal. As for Premier League, they come from two draws, against Manchester City and Swansea, as the side remains a point below Champions League placed local rivals.
Visitors from England will probably be playing in some version of 4-3-3 formation, using Mata, Martial and Rashford most likely as forwards. Their manager Jose Mourinho may not have any real central defenders for this one, after Eric Bailly limped off in their draw game against Swansea and remains doubtful for this one. Other defenders, Marcos Rojo (21/1), Phil Jones (14/0) and Chris Smalling (15/1) are injured. Same as left back Luke Shaw (11/0), right back Timothy Fosu-Mensah (3/0) and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (28/17). Juan Mata remains with less of fitness, but might be used here. Paul Pogba’s performance is questionable, also.
Celta Vigo lost some matches in LaLiga, but all in order to prepare better and be more fresh for this one. Manchester United comes with problems in the defense, but surely with tactics to pull out a positive result. I’m sure that the Spaniards will try to attack here and make an open game, since they know that they have much better chances here with the opponent coming without few important players and in front of own fans. Goals look like granted to me and I won’t be hesitating to take a bit more risky approach here.
