MI Abaga must have seen an X-ray of Manchester City’s Nolito when he sang “Bad belle” as the Spaniard admitted that he hopes Manchester United lose to Celta Vigo on Thursday in the Europa League semi final. Nolito joined Manchester City from Celta Vigo following the arrival of Pep Guardiola, but after a bright start, he is now a regular substitute even in training.
However, Nolito is hoping for a victory for his old side which would renew Manchester United’ stay in the Europa League till next season.
“I hope Celta get a good result on Thursday and reach the final.
“They have a chance of going through. Manchester are a great team — but so are Celta.
“Celta need to be focused and make the most of the opportunities they get. If they set their mind to it they can do it, and they are capable of winning at Old Trafford.”
Celta Vigo’s recent form in the league has been as stable as a cat fish but Nolito believes they deserve a place in the final. “They deserve to be in the final because of the season they’ve had.”
