Arsenal have spent just over a week in sixth place and the Gunners German midfielder – Mesut Ozil says the team is not happy with sixth position. Just to remind Ozil that a particular team spent over 100 days in sixth position. According to Ozil, the Gunners are already finding the sixth position uncomfortable, it feels nothing like their own comfortable fourth position that is just like a trophy.
“Why not? Of course, we are going through a difficult spell right now, and are not happy with the sixth place,” Ozil said. “But I am convinced that we will turn it around soon. Let’s see what the future will bring.”
However, when asked about the rumour that Wenger is looking to sell him and Alexis Sanchez, Ozil replied: “And you believe that Wenger would go to journalists before telling me? I know him differently.”
Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are yet to extend their contracts which expire in 2018 with Arsene Wenger declaring that contracts talk have been put on hold till the summer.
