Watford vs Liverpool
Watford didn’t manage to respond last weekend away to Hull, even though their players had all the chances to walk away with something. It must be said that they didn’t look inferior prior to the game, while everyone expected them to get something from 25th minute, when the players of Hull remained playing with a man less when their offensive player Niasse got red carded.
However, expect from great amount of ball possession, there was close to nothing what the players of Watford did on the field, while the Tigers looked very dangerous on counter attacks. Markovic brought them into the lead in 62nd minute, while Clucas sealed the victory in 71st, without visitors replying back. Watford is now at thirteenth position and still way off from the relegation battle as they stand with eight points more than relegating placed Swansea, but also having played two matches less then them.
Watford should be playing in 4-3-3 formation, with Niang and Amrabat as wingers, plus Deeney most likely as central striker. Few changes are expected here after their loss to Hull City last time out, while the home side can’t count at injured central defender Younes Kaboul (22/2), midfielders Ben Watson (4/0), Roberto Pereyra (13/2) and forward Mauro Zarate (3/0). Participation of central defender Craig Cathcart is doubtful for this one.
$300 Bonus
Liverpool surprised in a negative way last time out, since the team suffered their first loss after nine matches in Premiership, losing 1:2 in front of own fans against Crystal Palace last weekend. However, the players of Liverpool actually started well in that game, taking the lead in twenty-fourth minute via Coutinho, while the guests replied back in 42nd via Benteke.
Liverpool had much more of the ball possession, but weren’t that concrete in attack, while the visitors sealed the three pointer with second goal from Benteke in 74th minute. The team remained third at the table, having same points as fourth placed Manchester City and now needs a three pointer badly in order to get some advantage over the closest followers.
Visitors from Liverpool are set to play in quite offensive 4-3-3 formation, using Firmino, Origi and Coutinho as forwards. Ragnar Klavan and Adam Lallana are aiming to return to first tea action, while manager Jurgen Klopp isn’t expected to make many changes here. Injured remain forwards Daniel Sturridge (16/2), Danny Ings (no performance so far in Premiership anyway), offensive midfielder Sadio Mane (27/13) and midfielders Jordan Henderson (24/1) and Ovie Ejaria (2/0).
- Liverpool have won 7 of their last 8 matches against Watford.
Watford looked well in previous few matches in Premiership at home and they should be fired up to do the same against one of the most reputable clubs in the country. Liverpool hasn’t been convincing on the road, but after results this round, they again have great chance to make the advantage over City and United in a Champions League exit battle and I see this match being as open as possible, from both sides.

Club Brugge vs Waregem
After four matches without a victory in Jupiler League and actually lost chances for the title, Club Brugge finally responded with much better performance, especially in attack as the side comes from a 3:1 victory at home over Oostende on Wednesday night.
However, must be said that the things weren’t bright from the start, since Dimata brought the visiting side into the lead in fifteenth minute, but the hosts responded well already in next twenty minutes, reverting the scoreline with goals from Vossen and Izquierdo. Same player sealed the final score in 69th minute, with the home team completely deserving the victory in an overall very open game. Club Brugge is now third, having seven points less than Anderlecht but also a game less played, while they stand just two points behind Champions League placed Gent.
Left back Laurens De Bock (13/0) is injured, while due same problem won’t be playing forwards Lior Refaelov (18/2) and Abdoulay Diaby (16/0). Defensive midfielder and team captain Timmy Simons (27/0) won’t be playing due suspension.
$300 Bonus
Waregem, on the other side, looks like they completely lost the competitive motive in last month, since the team has no victory in last five Jupiler League matches. These five came after their win in Cup finals, when the team won after overtime and penalties against Oostende.
With that victory they secured Europa League exit and it seems like the side have lost a bit of fighting spirit since then, having two draws and three defeats from then on. They come from two consecutive defeats without a goal scored, last one being at home against Gent on Tuesday evening. Visiting side was much better and more concrete in offense, sealing the victory with goals from Kubo and Coulibaly. Waregem is now at sixth position, being four points behind fourth placed Charleroi. Goalkeeper Sammy Bossut (18/0) won’t be playing due stomach problems.
Individual quality is completely with the players of Club Brugge, as well as competitive motive this time. Everything except an easy victory for the home team would be a complete surprise in this one. I don’t see players of Waregem being able to respond here during all ninety minutes.

O'Brien names squad for EURO U17 Finals
The squad depart Dublin on Monday ahead of their opening game against Serbia on Thursday, May 4 at Stadium Rujevica, Rijeka. Ireland will also take on Bosnia & Herzegovina and Germany as they bid to make it out of Group C.
O’Brien is pleased with how preparations have gone so far. “Everybody is ready to go. The squad has been named and obviously we had a few tough decisions to make - that’s the nature of the international game. We’ve had over 20 players that have contributed this year in the campaign,” he said.
“We’ve had two pull out from the original squad. Glen McAuley from Liverpool has withdrawn for his own personal reasons and Conor Coventry from West Ham United has a broken toe, so that will force him out of the campaign."
Ireland made it through qualifying with an unbeaten record; winning all six games, scoring 16 goals and recording four clean sheets. It puts them in a good position going into the tournament.
O’Brien’s side kick off their tournament campaign on Thursday, May 4 when they face Serbia and follow it up with a clash against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Sunday, May 7 before meeting Germany on Wednesday, May 10, which will be screened live on Eurosport 1.
The top two in each group will progress to the last eight. The final tournament will also act as the European qualifier for UEFA's five berths in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India, running from October 6 to 28.

REPORT: Leeside dominate to win FAI Umbro Youth Cup
An inspired performance from Nathan Manson-Browne saw the Cork outfit lead five-nil at half time.
Nathan Manson-Browne was fouled inside the box in the tenth minute by Jakub Jastrzebski and the spot kick was duly converted by Eoin Horgan.
Manson-Browne doubled the lead himself eight minutes later when his glancing header beat Magner in the Annacotty goal before the tricky left winger won his second penalty of the game. Horgan netted in the same corner to put the game to bed.
The 17-year-old terrorised Kennedy Tabot Naip in the first half, and added another goal to his tally seven minutes before the half.
He completed his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time when he executed a brilliant lob to emphasise both his and Leeside’s dominance.
Eoin Murphy added a sixth on the hour mark - sliding his shot cleverly past the out-rushing Regan-Magner to add further gloss to the scoreline on a great day for the Cork club.
Aisling Annacotty: James Regan-Magner; Kennedy Tabot Naip, Dion Lynch, Jakub Jastrzebski (Ian McCarthy 39), Killian Maloney; James Deegan (Oisin Cross 66), Shane Donegan; Sean Feeney (Sam Lane 76), Conor Coughlan, Ciaran Pateman (Eoin Murphy 46); Stephen Coughlan (Sam Burns 60).
Leeside AFC: Ben Graham; Greg Magner, Robert O'Connor, Jack McCarth, Kallum Long; Eoghan O'Sullivan (Ciaran Horgan 86), Sean O'Driscoll (Kevin Cody 89); Eoin Horgan (Scott Horgan 81), Eoin Murphy, Nathan Manson-Browne (Matthew Long 76); George Keating (Lughaidh Wiseman 64).

Manchester Utd vs Swansea
Manchester United didn’t have one of their better performances last time out, but the team still managed to take what they wanted, as the team took a point away from home in a local derby against Manchester City in a goalless draw. Even though it was probably one of the poorest derbies in years, you can’t argue with the fact that the players of Mourinho did what he wanted them to do and got the correct score.
Martial should lead their attack together with Young, Rooney and Lingard as offensive midfielders. Midfielder Marouane Fellaini (27/1) will miss next three matches after being sent off against the Citizens. Injured remains striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (28/17), midfielder Juan Mata (22/6) and defensive Phil Jones (17/0), Chris Smalling (15/1) and Marcos Rojo (21/1).
Overall, it was quite a poor game, but it still needs to be said that the Citizens did create more and had much more of the ball possession, but were unable to convert that into goals, while the guests remained with defensive tactics and survived, even though they played with a man less when Fellaini got red carded in 84th minute. United is now just a point below fourth placed City and needs a victory badly here.
$300 Bonus
Swansea, on the other side, comes into this match after a 2:0 home victory over Stoke City last weekend, as the team entered the match strongly and took the lead in tenth minute already via Llorente. Guests tried to react and have created some decent chances, including a penalty missed, but the equalizer never came.
Instead of it, Carroll sealed the victory for the Swans in 70th minute for their first three pointer after three consecutive defeats and overall six matches without a victory (just one draw in the progress). The side remains just below the safe zone, having three points less than green zone placed Hull City.
Visitors should be playing with three players upfront, Ayew, Llorente and Sigurdsson. Right full back Angel Rangel (18/1) is injured, same as midfielder Nathan Dyer (8/0) and forward Wayne Routledge (27/3). Couple of more players are doubtful.
- Man Utd have seen over 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 9 matches against Swansea.
Players of Manchester City probably feel now that they need to respond with much better performance and that’s what I exactly believe will happen. There is certain quality in their roster and the players should be able to overcome today’s opponents without much of problems on their Champions League exit quest.

Nice vs PSG
Nice made a setback in their title race last weekend, as the team took only a point away from home against Toulouse in a 1:1 draw and now really need a miracle in order to get back into the title race. The side remained third, but now with six points less than PSG and Monaco, while the latter also have played a game less.
The team had much more of the ball possession in the first halftime, but created little number of chances, while the hosts improved their gameplay in the second halftime and took the lead in 56th via Jean. Even though the visitors responded right away, just three minutes later via Eysseric, they didn’t find a way to revert the scoreline completely.
Nice should be using their kind of 4-2-3-1 formation, with Balotelli as central striker and Eysseric, Belhanda and Pereira as offensive support behind his back. Injured for this game remain central defender Maxim Le Marchand (10/0), midfielders Wylan Cyprien (29/8), Mounir Obbadi (5/0) and forward Alassane Plea (25/11).
$300 Bonus
Parisians, on the other side, didn’t have many problems defeated Montpellier last Saturday evening as the team celebrated 2:0 victory without showing anything close to their full potential. Cavani brought them into the lead in 29th minute, while Di Maria scored at the start of second half and the hosts spent the rest of the game actually tring to save some energy.
With this three pointer which was their eight victory in Ligue 1 in a run, PSG remained behind Monaco at the table with a game more played as well, which means that they can’t afford to drop points here. During the midweek, they progressed into the finals of French Cup with a routing 5:0 victory over Monaco that used many young and talented players in that clash in order to save their energy for next matches.
PSG is set to play in 4-3-3 formation, with Maria, Cavani and Draxler as forwards. Adrien Rabiot made his return from injury against Monaco in midweek, while injured remain defensive midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak (11/0), left back Layvin Kurzawa (18/2) and offensive midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa (23/0).
PSG is closer in the title battle and surely remains as a side with more of individual quality and are favorites in my eyes. However, Nice is also very dangerous in attack and this it their last chance to move above from the third position, so we should expect quite an open performance from both teams. Both teams to score and over goals seems so likely in this case.

Roma vs Lazio
Hosts should be playing in some version of 4-2-3-1 formation with Dzeko as central striker and with offensive support of Shaarawy, Nainggolan and Salah behind him. Right back Alessandro Florenzi (9/0) remains injured, while midfielder Leandro Paredes and offensive Francesco Totti have some fitness issues and remain doubtful.
Visitos are set to play in kind of a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Immobile as number nine, Milinkovic-Savic and Anderson as offensive midfielders most likely. Goalkeeper Federico Marchetti (17/0) is injured
- Roma have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 home matches against Lazio.
After Juventus’ setback couple of days ago, Roma has a glimmer of hope to get back into the title race, but also they need to get a victory in order to maintain the difference to third placed Napoli which is just four points. Overall, I believe Roma is in a better momentum and surely with more individual quality.

Empoli vs Sassuolo
Empoli comes into this match from two consecutive victories on the road and being undefeated in last three, as the team won most recently away to AC Milan 1:2 last Sunday evening, making the biggest surprise of that round. However, it must be said that the home players did much more on the field and deserved something more out of the game, but were punished for their chances missed, including even a penalty kick.
On the other side, players of Empoli got rewarded this time for their fighting spirit. Guests took the lead in 40th minute via Mchedlidze and remained dangerous on counters. They even doubled up the lead in 67th via Thiam, against the flow of the clash, while the hosts were only able to reduce the deficit in 72nd minute via Lapadula, but without changing the scoreline further on. After seven points taken in last three rounds, Empoli is now five points above relegating placed Cagliari and need to continue with positive results in order to be safe as soon as possible.
Home team should be set in 4-3-1-2 formation, with Thiam and Marilungo as forwards and Kaddouri as offensive midfielder. Midfielder Rade Krunic has served his suspension, while central defender Uros Cosic (14/0) and central midfielder Marcel Buchel (14/0) remain injured.
$2500 Bonus
Sassuolo, on the other side, is also coming from a positive result, as the team managed to stop Napoli and took a point in a home 2:2 game last Sunday afternoon. Napoli was better in the first halftime and probably deserved to take the lead, but the hosts replied with much better fighting spirit in repetition.
Mertens brought players of Napoli into the lead in 52nd minute, while Berardi leveled up in 59th, with Mazzitelli bringing hosts into the lead in 80th minute, a bit unexpected and against the flow of the game – however Milik sealed final 2:2 score just few minutes later. Sassuolo is now at fourteenth position with twelve points more than relegating placed Crotone and can play the rest of the season way more relaxed.
Visitors are set to play in 4-3-3 formation with Berardi, Matri and Politano as forwards. Important players Matteo Politano and Federico Peluso are coming back from suspensions, while injured remain offensive midfielder Simone Missiroli (12/0), midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini (27/6) and right full back Marcello Gazzola (15/0).
- Empoli have seen over 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches against Sassuolo.
Empoli comes from two morale boosting victories away from home against Fiorentina and Milan and now it’s time to continue with positive performances in front of own fans. Sassuolo is also doing fine in recent weeks, but competitive motive here is completely with the home team that is, without any doubt, in a better momentum now.

A superb finish from Luke O’Neill midway through the first half was enough to earn the Waterford club their first ever National title at the expense of a spirited Carrigaline side.
Genuine goals scoring opportunities were at a premium during the opening exchanges until the game sparked into life in the 28th minute when Tramore took the lead through Luke O’Neill.
After Favour Eddy charged down the right, the midfielder’s cross picked out Luke O’Neill in the middle and allowed the striker to expertly clip his volley across the keeper into the far top left corner of the net.
Carrigaline upped the tempo in the second half but they struggled to break through a stubborn Tramore defence, which has only conceded one goal en route to the final.
David Sexton’s powerful drive from a tight angle just shy of the hour mark was as close as United came to an equaliser but the striker was unfortunate to see his shot cannon off the far left post as Tramore hung on to claim the silverware.
Carrigaline United: Niall O’Leary, David Crotty, Christian Buttimer, Josh Honohan, Glen Sexton, Jack O’Mahony, Shane Lowney (Dean Farrissey 80), Adam O’Driscoll (Keelan Conway 63), Stephen Darcy, David Sexton (Cillian Hayes 88), Dylan O’Flaherty.
Tramore AFC: Dan Morrissey, Ben Daly, Cian O’Neil, Tom Carney, Ben Flynn, Lee Kavanagh, Conor Butler (Josh Douglas 83), Favour Eddy, Darragh Wall, Mohammad Ajala (Cameron Kent 89), Luke O’Neill (Dean Cowley 70).
Referee: Andrew Keogh.

REPORT: Ireland U18s mens finish fourth in Slovakia Cup
A goal in either half sealed the win for the Slovaks, who in truth had the lion’s share of the possession. After a testing four games in five days it was not surprising that both sides showed signs of fatigue at times.
Slovakia went ahead in the 29th minute when Martin Vician headed to the net from close range from a well delivered corner.
Irish keeper Mark Travers made a number of impressive stops to keep his side in the game but Slovakia extended their lead in the 73rd minute when Lazio winger Denis Petro scored at the back post from a flicked on corner.
The visitors were down to ten men at this stage as Drogheda United striker Thomas Byrne was dismissed for two cautionable offences.
Shola Ayoola had Ireland’s only serious strike on goal midway through the first half but his effort flew over the Slovak crossbar while an Anthony Scully chip in the 33rd minute was well held by keeper Dominik Takac.
Irish head coach Jim Crawford was extremely pleased with the effort his side had displayed this week in difficult circumstances due to the unavailability of a number of squad members.
“I can only be proud of the performances the players put in this week. They were a credit to themselves, their clubs and their country. It’s been a demanding week for them but they met the challenge head on,” said Crawford.
“To beat a top class side like Turkey to finish second in our group and ultimately make the top four in this tournament is an excellent achievement by all concerned with the performances this week.
“The players have shown talent, work-rate and character and considering that Russia won the grouo by scoring nine goals in their other two games it puts our 0-0 draw with them firmly into perspective.
“I would especially like to mention how well the home-based players did this week. They performed so well and did their clubs proud and they now know what the next level is for them in their development as players.
“There were tired legs out there and we were punished for our defending at two corners but Slovakia were the host nations and showed their qualities too.
“The most important aspect of this tournament has been the learning for the players and the fact that U19 head coach Tom Mohan has been here observing the players and many will have shown him that they can do a job for him next season.”
Republic of Ireland: Travers, A Byrne, O’Sullivan, O’Hora, McSweeney, McKenna (Nicell 76), Keaney (J Martin 65), N Byrne (Mollett 76), Dillon (T Byrne 65), Ayoola (Flanagan 41), Scully (Hogan 41).

Monaco vs Toulouse
Monaco had one of the toughest matches away from home last weekend in Ligue 1, but managed to walk away with a 1:2 victory on the road against Lyon on Sunday evening. They were better in the first halftime and took control over the game, scoring two goals, via Falcao in 36th minute and Mbappe in 44th minute.
Even though Tousart reduced the deficit in 51st minute, players of Monaco stood well in the defense and their victory wasn’t jeopardized. The side continues to be leveled up with second placed PSG, but also having played a game less that gives them extra advantage, but the side still remains in must win situation here. During the midweek, they completely sacrificed Coupe de France semi-finals game against PSG which they lost with 5:0, in order to keep the players fresh for Champions League and Ligue 1 duties.
Monaco will be playing here with close to their best starting eleven, as they should start in 4-4-2 formation using Mbappe and Falcao as forwards. Offensive midfielder Boschilia (11/6) is injured, same as forward Guido Carrillo (17/7) and right back Djibril Sidibe (25/2). Questionable are left back Benjamin Mendy and right back Almamy Traore.
$250 Bonus
Toulouse, on the other side, comes from third consecutive match without a victory, since the team took only a point in a 1:1 draw in front of own fans against Nice last weekend. Even though it was just a draw, it came against probably third strongest side this season in Ligue 1 and can be considered as a fine outcome.
However, must be said that the visiting side had much more of the ball possession and they are the only ones to blame for making a setback here, since the team could have looked more concrete with the ball to their feet. Instead of it, Toulouse took the lead in via Jean in 56th, while the guests increased tempo since then, leveling up three minutes later via Eysseric, but without reverting the scoreline completely. Toulouse is eleventh now, without much of competitive motive, since they have ten points more than relegating worried Dijon.
Visitors are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation, using Delort as striker, plus Jean, Trejo and Braithwaite as offensive midfielders. Central defender Yrondu Musavu-King (3/0), midfielder Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro (2/0) and forward Odsonne Edouard (16/1) won’t be playing here. Doubtful are defensive midfielder Yann Bodiger (28/1) and midfielder Clement Michelin (8/0).
- Monaco have won their last 7 home matches (Ligue 1).
- Monaco are undefeated in their last 6 home matches against Toulouse.
Toulouse was lucky last weekend, but I don’t see them being anywhere close lucky this time. Monaco used their Coupe game against PSG in order to rest most of their players and now fully fresh, they should record and easy victory in their title race this time out.

‘I am training in the gym to be fit to play against Swansea’ – Mourinho
Manchester United coach – Jose Mourinho says he is an option to play as a centre-back for Manchester United in their Premier League tie against Swansea. With many Manchester United players ruled out due to injury and Marouane Fellaini also expected to miss the tie due to a rush of blood to the head. Mourinho says he might put on a jersey and play alongside young defender, Axel Tuanzebe at centre-back. He also added that Wayne Rooney is an option to play in midfield.
“Yes, he’s an option,” Mourinho told a news conference. “We don’t have any other players there. We have Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick and nothing else. And Tim Fosu-Mensah – an emergency to help the team, strong legs, energy – he’s another one that we will miss so we are in trouble but we will fight, that’s for sure.
“In this moment Eric Bailly is the only option we have at centre-back. It’s Axel Tuanzebe, Eric and Daley Blind. I think Eric and Daley, they played again absolutely amazingly against City.
“I have to speak with them and see how they are, see how they feel. I’m also training hard in the gym so I can also be an option — Mourinho and Tuanzebe against Swansea!”
Mourinho saw his selection problems worsen during the 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Thursday after Marouane Fellaini was sent off and is likely to serve a three-match ban, Timothy Fosu-Mensah suffered an arm injury.

Las Palmas vs Atletico Madrid
Las Palmas looked pretty poor on Wednesday evening when the team visited Leganes and suffered 3:0 defeat in quite one way game, as the players of Leganes had much more of the competitive motive. At first, it wasn’t that intense game, but once the hosts upped their tempo, it was all over for the players of Las Palmas.
Leganes took control over the game at the start of the first halftime and took the lead in 55th minute via Luciano, while Guerrero and Luciano again from penalty kick in next six minutes, sealed their victory within just a few minutes. It was third consecutive game for Las Palmas without a victory, having only one in last six, as they remain with fifteen points more than relegating placed Gijon and have nothing to worry anymore.
Forward Marko Livaja (25/5) is suspended for this one, while with injury problems remain defensive midfielder Vicente Gomez (29/2), offensive midfielder Jonathan Viera (28/7) and forward Kevin-Prince Boateng (26/10) and they remain doubtful, especially first two. They should be playing in 4-3-3 formation, using Jese, Halilovic and Boateng most likely as forwards.
$2500 Bonus
Atletico Madrid, on the other side, comes from unexpected defeat in front of own fans against Villarreal 0:1 on Tuesday evening and the team ins’t that sure regarding their direct placement to the Champions League group stage for the next season.
They are now still at third position, but now being tied up with fourth placed Sevilla and need a victory badly here. The side was better for the most of the game than their visitors from Villarreal, but didn’t use their chances properly, as the visiting side punished them in 82nd minute via Soriano in one of their rare chances, while the players of Atletico didn’t find a way to respond further.
Visitors from Madrid are set to play in 4-4-2 formation, using Gameiro and Griezmann as forwards. Central defender Diego Godin (30/3) is suspended for this one and his position should get Lucas. Right full back Sime Vrsaljko (14/0) is injured, same as other right full back Juanfran (23/0), midfielder Augusto Fernandez (3/0) and forward Yannick Carrasco (32/10).
- Atletico have kept a clean sheet in their last 4 away matches against Las Palmas.
Atletico Madrid needs a victory here against probably not that competitive motivated Las Palmas. Visitors have plenty of more individual quality and their defense looks rock solid in comparison this rival. Away victory should be reached here easier than the odds suggest. Las Palmas is undefeated in last four home matches, but I expect a strong answer from Atletico now when they lost in front of own fans last time out.

West Brom vs Leicester
West Brom isn’t awaiting this match in the best possible form, as the team now has three straight defeats, four matches without a victory and the team should be fired up to improve and prove their quality against reputable Leicester City this time.
In the last game, they didn’t show all of their potential, since the team suffered 0:1 defeat against Liverpool in front of own fans, with the only goal being scored just before the halftime whistle via Firmino. Overall, the Reds had much more of the ball possession, but neither of the teams looked very concrete with the chances created and the result could have easily been slightly different. As for West Brom, they remained at eight position and surely aim to end up there, having four points now more than Southampton and Watford, their closest followers.
Home team should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Rondon as central striker, plus McClean, Morrison and Brunt as offensive midfielders. Offensive midfielder Matt Phillips (27/4) and forward Hal Robson-Kanu (27/2) are doubtful for this clash.
$2500 Bonus
Leicester, on the other side, entered a really poor form in previous couple of weeks, since the team responded well with appointment of their interim coach Shakespeare during March and early in April, but the team succumbed now to five matches without a victory since ninth April.
They lost away to Everton and took a point against Crystal Palace, also being excluded from Champions League quarter-finals game against Atletico Madrid, but the side also suffered narrow 1:0 defeat last Wednesday evening away from home against Arsenal, having now three matches without a victory. Must be said, the Gunners have deserved their victory being way better and more concrete, even though the winning goal came late, in 86th minute of the match as an own goal. The side is quite safe having six points more than relegation placed Swansea, but would also just benefit in case of getting point(s) here.
Visitors will probably be playing in some kind of 4-4-2 formation, using Vardy and Okazaki as forwards. Central defender Wes Morgan remains doubtful with a hamstring problem. Forward Islam Slimani (19/7) missed previous game with a groin injury and will probably skip this one as well. Midfielder Nampalys Mendy (4/0) is injured, as well as center back Molla Wague (who didn’t perform so far in Premiership).
- West Brom have seen over 2.5 goals in 9 of their last 10 matches against Leicester.
- West Brom have scored at least 2 goals in 7 of their last 8 matches against Leicester.
West Brom are without a victory in last four and are now fired up to respond with a much better performance. Leicester still has a lot things to prove and are not yet sure in the relegation battle, still aiming for a three pointer here. Overall, I expect goals here and both teams scoring as both of them are coming with a strong will to confirm their own quality.

Crystal Palace vs Burnley
After three positive results against more than reputable teams and victories over Arsenal at home and Liverpool on the road, as well as a draw game against still champions from Leicester, players of Crystal Palace didn’t manage to make four consecutive brilliant result, as they suffered 0:1 defeat in front of own fans on Wednesday evening to Tottenham Hotspur.
This time they were limited to quite a defensive performance, mostly standing behind the ball and waiting for their opponent who were concrete enough, but didn’t manage to break their defense till 78th minute when Eriksen scored the winning goal, leaving no time to the home team to reply back properly. Palace is now at 12th position with seven points more than Swansea and can play a bit more relaxed their next matches, knowing that the mathematical salvation is just matter of weeks, but will surely try to seal it here.
Benteke should lead their attack once again, with support of Townsend, Puncheon and Zaha as offensive midfielders in probably 4-2-3-1 formation. Forward Connor Wickham (8/2) is injured, same as central defenders Scott Dann (23/3) Mamadou Sakho (8/0) and James Tomkins (22/3), while doubtful with fitness issues remain forward Loic Remy (4/0) and left back Pape Souare (3/0).
$2500 Bonus
Burnley, on the other side, didn’t manage to respond in a proper way last time out in front of own fans last weekend, as the team welcomed Manchester United and stood defeated with a 0:2 result quite easily. Players of Manchester entered the game strongly and had the double lead already in first halftime, thanks to goals from Martial in 21st and Rooney in 39th minute.
Since they took the lead, the visiting side was very satisfied and somehow played the second half in order to save some energy. It was third game without a victory for them, as the side now stands just five points above the relegation zone and will need to seek for further points. Away from home they’ve been terrible so far with 0-4-13 record and most likely these points will need to come in front of their own fans.
Visitors from Burnley will be playing in 4-4-2 formation, using Barnes and Gray as forwards. Midfielder Dean Marney (21/1) is injured, while other midfielder Joey Barton (14/1) has been suspended by FA for eighteen months. Central defenders Kevin Long (no performance so far in Premier League), Ben Mee (34/1), offensive midfielder Scott Arfield (27/1) and forward Sam Vokes (33/6) remain doubtful for this one.
- Crystal Palace have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 home matches against Burnley.
Crystal Palace is really in a nice momentum now and are looking like a real team. Even though they have some absentees in defense, I’m still willing to risk with them against mediocre visiting side that.

Dortmund vs Koln
Dortmund comes from quite a busy schedule and actually three difficult matches in last ten days, but the team remains once again in a must win situation. They first lost the quarter-finals game of Champions League on the road to Monaco, but then answered back with a important three pointer in Bundesliga last weekend away to Gladbach with a 3:2 victory.
It was a very interesting match where the visiting side deserved their three points, however the things didn’t go that simply – they did took the lead in tenth minute from a penalty kick taken by Reus, but Stindl leveled up before the halftime whistle and an own goal from the players of Gladbch at the start of the second half. However, visitors found a way to fight back and sealed the victory thanks to goals from Aubameyang and Guerreiro. In quite similar scenario, but even more difficult game and opponent, they managed to progress into the finals of German Cup of Wednesday evening, when the team surprisingly won over Bayern in Munich with the same 3:2 result. As for the Bundesliga table, they are third with just a point more than fourth placed Hoffenheim and remain in a must win position as said.
Central defender Marc Bartra (25/1) continues to recover from surgery, while injured remain midfielders Sebastian Rode (15/1), Nuri Sahin (8/1), offensive Mario Gotze (11/1) and forward Andre Schurrle (15/2).
$300 Bonus
Koln, on the other side, comes from a point taken last weekend as the team took a draw in a 1:1 game in front of own fans against Hoffenheim. The game itself was quite open with both teams playing offensively and even though the equalizing goal from Hoffenheim came in third minute of additional tie via Demirbay, but was a fair outcome in the end.
On the other hand, home side was the first one to take the lead, in 58th minute via Bittencourt, as the visitors looked much better in the first halftime, but the home team responded well in the repetition. Even though this wasn’t a negative result against a strong side, players of Koln remained now without a victory in last three, previously losing to Augsburg and Gladbach. The team is now at eight position, still with European chances as they remain just three points below sixth placed Freburg.
Midfielder Konstantin Rausch remains with muscular problem and won’t be playing here most likely. Injured and out are also forward Sehrou Guirassy (6/0), offensive midfielder Simon Zoller (22/1) and midfielder Marcel Risse (13/2).
- Borussia Dortmund are undefeated in their last 35 home matches (Bundesliga).
Both teams come into this match with a must win situation, but I see players of Dortmund being in much better momentum and form, with excellent quality in attack. Home team might be a bit more tired, but they are now fully focused on their Bundesliga duties and should be able to overcome the opponent without problems towards the end.

Neville condemns Bravo for going off on a stretcher
Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville has laid into Manchester City goalie – Claudio Bravo for going off on a stretcher for a calf strain during the Manchester derby. For a match that was a perfect cure for insomnia, issues like the use of stretchers, the colour of Rashford boots, the shape of Guardiola’s head and the likes are expected to become talking points.
Neville slammed Bravo, saying: ‘A stretcher for a calf strain… please. Oh come on’ as the keeper went off.
‘He’d not done anything for 20, 25 minutes, he’d not been involved and then he’s leaped with his left leg for that catch from the last corner.’ Neville continued.
‘I’m not quite sure why there’s a stretcher on. It’s a calf strain. Am I missing something? You don’t need a stretcher on for a calf strain. Please.
‘He kicked the ball forward after that. Come on. I apologise if he hasn’t got a calf strain.’
Since Guardiola bought his sweeper-keeper from Barcelona in the summer, Bravo has faced criticism for his lack of saves, during one stretch he conceded from six straight shots he faced.
