Jack Byrne is moving to Wigan Athletic from Man City after signing a three-and-a-half-year contract. Manchester City midfielder Jack Byrne has joined Championship side Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee. The Republic of Ireland Under 21 international has signed a three-and-a-half year contract, subject to English Football League and Football Association clearance. The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers, but he was recalled after making just seven appearances for the club.
