Deportivo La Coruna unveil Pepe Mel as new manager

Pepe Mel's first game in charge will be at home to Atletico Madrid on Thursday. Deportivo La Coruna have appointed former West Brom manager Pepe Mel as their new manager on Tuesday, one day after the club terminated the contract of Gaizka Garitano. Mel joins the club in the wake of Depor's 4-0 defeat at Leganes, their fourth straight league loss which left the La Coruna-based outfit 17th in La Liga, one place and two points above the drop zone.
