Emir Spahic agrees mutual termination of contract at Hamburg

Emir Spahic (left) made 11 Bundesliga appearances for Hamburg this season. Hamburg have announced that defender Emir Spahic's contract has been terminated. Spahic, 36, who joined Hamburg in the summer of 2015, was told in early January that he was no longer wanted at the Bundesliga club. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international, however, rejected the offer to terminate his contract which was set to expire this summer, and instead filed a suit against the club at Hamburg's labour court.
