Those strong people behind Arsenal’s customary downfall in February couldn’t wait to get started as the Gunners not only suffered a defeat against Watford but also lost Aaron Ramsey to a calf injury in the last day of January.
Though Aaron Ramsey won’t get an invite to most Arsenal fans wedding; the unavailability of Elneny due to commitments with Egypt and resident doctor Santi Cazorla yet to be given a leave at the hospital, the Gunners are suddenly short of personnel in central midfield.
Arsene Wenger, who is serving punishment for almost pushing the fourth official to coma, says ” “It’s a calf strain. I don’t know how long he will be out for, but it’s a calf strain.”
Alex Chamberlain replaced Ramsey just after 20 minutes but the English international was also left wondering if Watford uses rocks to train. Asked if Chamberlain is a doubt for Saturday’s clash against Chelsea, Wenger says.
“No, I don’t think so. I think he should be alright.”
