Argentina players' union threatens strike over unpaid wages

The Argentina season had been set to restart on Feb. 5 but has been plagued by financial problems. The Argentina players' union said they will go ahead with their plan to strike next weekend despite a government pledge to inject money in order to take care of unpaid wages. The Argentinian Football Association (AFA) negotiated the deal with the government and on Monday published the upcoming fixtures as the first division is due to resume this weekend.
