Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has posted a picture of himself and want-away striker Neymar Jr. with an inscription – “Se queda,” which translates as “he stays”. Neymar has been a subject of transfer speculation this summer amid reports that Paris Saint-Germain had agreed to activate his release clause of almost €220 million, money that is enough for Arsene Wenger to put three squads together.
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the Brazilian – who is in the United States with for the preseason – had already told some of his current teammates that he is leaving for PSG, where the money is more and where tax police don’t chase people up and down.
Neymar scored two first-half goals in Barcelona’s 2-1 International Champions Cup friendly victory over Juventus at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Saturday.
