Manchester ‘sixers’ United will host West Ham at Old Trafford on the opening day, while noisy neighbours Manchester City travel to the Amex Stadium to face newcomers Brighton and Hove Albion.
Arsene Wenger will begin their chase for their top-four trophy with a home fixture against Leicester City, while Liverpool will travel to face Watford in Marco Silva’s first game in charge at Vicarage Road. Their North London neighbours, Tottenham will head to St James’ Park to face Premier League returnee Newcastle United, whose last game in the top flight was a 5-1 win over Mauriccio Pochettino’s side.
