Wenger: Alexis is an animal

Arsene Wenger has likened his Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez to an animal. He only did not specify the type of animal, but looking at how Sanchez chases the ball and opponents like they stole his nudes, he must be a Tiger, Lion, Cheetah and any of those sort, but maybe not a dog, despite his love for dogs.

“Alexis Sanchez was today like the team,” Wenger said. “He had problems to start and became stronger and stronger. He is an animal, he is always ready to kill the opponent. In games like that he will never give up and that is his strength.”

Wenger also re-iterated that Alexis will be at Arsenal next season despite having just over one year left on his present deal.

“Hopefully he will still be here — he will of course still be here next year because he has a contract until 2018, and hopefully we will manage to extend him,” Wenger said.

Sanchez scored to put Arsenal ahead 2-1 in extra time at Wembley, the second time in three years he has decided an FA Cup semifinal in extra time. The Gunners came from a goal down after Sergio Aguero put City ahead in the second half, Nacho Monreal levelled 10 minutes later before Sanchez grabbed the winner.
