Tottenham’s coach, Mauricio Pochettino says his team are a bigger team in London than both Chelsea and Arsenal. He also said the North London club is at the same level as Manchester United and Liverpool. Even though they have the same number of Premier League titles as the number of Champions League titles Arsenal have won, the Argentine believes that his side are at the same level as the Red Devils with the most league titles in England.
‘I would love to be here for as long as possible because it’s a club with history, a club that is the most popular in London, more than Arsenal and Chelsea,’ he said. ‘I’m delighted here.’
‘Tottenham is a historic club at the same level as Manchester United and Liverpool.’
He continued: ‘Three years ago when I started this project, the idea was to reduce the difference between us and the top four. We are ahead of our project.
‘When you analyse the last two seasons, Tottenham has been the most consistent team in the Premier League,’ he said. ‘We have achieved more points than any other team the last two seasons.’
Tottenham have won seven games in the Premier League on the bounce and will look to take that form into Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final tie against Chelsea, where they are expected to prove that they are a bigger club than the Blues even if they are yet to win the Champions League.
