Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane says Wayne Rooney’s time at Manchester United may be over and he expects the Englishman to be mad about his lack of playing time. Rooney is now used to keeping the benches warm when Manchester United play and Keane believes he should be fuming. Knowing Keane, we have an idea of what he could have done if he was in the situation, he could have ‘broken bottles’ and he probably expects Rooney to do same.
“He will obviously contribute until the end of the season because of injuries.
“But he must be fuming not to be brought on. I think that’s the final nail in the coffin for him, definitely.
“Leading scorer at the club, I’d expect him to be fuming, if he’s not fuming then he’s obviously lost the eye of the tiger. He must be like a mad man tonight, he must be.”
The Red Devils’ club captain was included in Jose Mourinho’s squad for a Europa League clash with Anderlecht. He was however an unused substitute as Anthony Martial replaced Zlatan Ibrahimovic once the Swede picked up an injury.
