PSG had a relatively easy game last weekend as the side took a 2:0 home victory over Montpellier last Saturday evening without getting much into troubles. They took the lead in 29th minute via Cavani, while Di Maria sealed the victory in second minute of the repetition already.
It was a fully deserved three pointer, while the overall impression is that they could have scored couple of more too, with the visiting side also scoring one deserved goal. Anyhow, this was their ninth consecutive victory in all competitions and eight in a run in Ligue 1, as the Parisians now stand tied up with leading Monaco, but having played a game less and surely wanting to impress in the Cup competition.
PSG should be playing in 4-3-3 formation with Draxler and Maria as wingers and Cavani as central striker. Defensive midfielder Andrien Rabiot (23/2) returned to training sessions, but remains unfit for this one. Offensive midfielder Javier Pastore (14/0) and left back Layvin Kurzawa (18/2) are injured.

Monaco, on the other side, didn’t have an easy match, since the team visited fourth placed Lyon but still managed to fight away 2:1 victory on the Sunday evening. They looked way more concrete in the first halftime and deservedly took the double lead thanks to goals from Falcao in 36th and Mbappe in 44th minute.
Hosts replied with a goal from Tousart in 51st minute, however without being able to completely push the opponent further on. It was sixth consecutive victory in all competitions, seventh in Ligue 1, as the side continued the title race, but also having important Champions League semi-finals clash against Italian champions Juventus later during next weeks and combined with Ligue 1 race, their coach is forced to make some changes for this one.
Players from Monaco are set to play in 4-4-2 formation, with Cardona and Germain most likely as forwards. Forward Kylian Mbappe is one of several players who are going to be rested here, while injured remain right back Djibril Sidibe (25/2), left back Benjamin Mendy (22/0), offensive midfielder Boschilia (11/6) and forward Guido Carrillo (17/7).
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Monaco’s last 5 games (Coupe de France).
- PSG have scored at least 2 goals in their last 6 matches (Coupe de France).
I’ve got no doubts that the players of PSG are favorites to get a victory here and progress into the finals, since Monaco comes with a rotated squad. However, players of Monaco are in a really good momentum now and however plays, I definitely see them being threatening and very dangerous in front of opponents goal, even if they suffer convincing defeat I still see them scoring and making troubles as well.
