Former Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac says he would rather die than play Paris Saint-Germain. The Frenchman says he loathes the Paris club with a passion. Now we know one of those people that visited their dibia to make sure the PSG players became spectators while Barcelona overturned a four-goal lead in the Champions League. Good thing is, for all we know, PSG are not interested in a player that left Europe for Mexico, so nobody will die.
“I hate PSG – I’d rather die than sign with them,” he said. “If PSG offered me 10 times more money, I would not go there.”
Gignac also revealed his joy when PSG were knocked out of the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona, conceding three goals in the final minutes to embarrassingly crash out of the competition 6-5 on aggregate, having won the first leg 4-0.
“You’ve got no idea how I shouted at Barcelona’s sixth goal in the Champions League,” he added. “I screamed, ran, everything. My wife was even a little scared!”
The 31-year-old is a fan of PSG’s rivals Marseille, where he played for five seasons before moving to Tigres, his current side, in Mexico during the summer of 2015.
