Pescara couldn’t do much more in their 3:0 defeat away to Inter last weekend, as the team once again got outplayed away from home and again showed that this season will be very difficult for them. Players of Inter were way more dominant and showed plenty of their skills, however also allowed the visitors to create some dangerous situations as well.
However, defensive lineup of Pescara didn’t look well, as they were losing with a 2:0 after the halftime thanks to goals from D’Ambrosio in 23rd and Mario in 43rd minute, while Eder sealed the final result in 73rd minute, as the home team cruised to yet another victory easily. Pescara of course remained at the rock botto position, having only nine points so far which is twelve less than safely placed Empoli and it’s obvious that they’ll most likely play in Serie B next season.
Pescara should be playing in pretty defensive 4-4-1-1 formation with Caprari set as central striker and offensive midfielder Bahebeck just behind his back. They will be without few players, including newly signed striker Alberto Gilardino. Injured are also central defenders Michele Fornasier (13/0), Hugo Campagnaro (14/2), full back Davide Vitturini (3/0) and midfielder Gaston Brugman (16/0).
Fiorentina, on the other side, had all the chances to walk away with a three pointer in a home game against Genoa, but the team made some stupid decisions during the match and paid the price of it, breaking a mini run of two victories in Serie A. Still, it has to be said that they looked far better for the most of the game and took the lead in seventeenth minute via Ilicic.
They even doubled up the lead in 50th via Chiesa and nothing looked like they’ll make a setback, but then two minutes cost them too much, as visitors leveled up the result thanks to goals from Simeone in 57th and Hiljemark two minutes later and even though Kalinic restored the lead in 62nd, hosts stood playing with a man less in 85th when Bernardeschi got excluded, while Simeone wrote the final 3:3 result from a penalty kick four minutes before the final whistle, making Genoa really lucky to pull out a point. Fiorentina is now at eight position, having six less than Europa placed Lazio and need a three pointer badly.
Viola is set to play in 3-4-2-1 formation, using Kalinic as central striker plus Ilicic and Valero as offensive midfielders. Midfielder Federico Bernardesci (21/9) is suspended, same as central defender Davide Astori (19/1). Injured are goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarsanu (20/0) and central defender Gonzalo Rodriguez (15/0).
Fiorentina is not in their best form, but still should be too strong for the home side that is obviously far below Serie A quality. Viola lost points a bit surprisingly few days ago and should be determined to get the victory here playing with all their effort from the first minute. Few missing players in the visiting team just make the odds even more attractive since I believe visitors have much more individual quality even if using more of bench players.
