If there was ever a day to be lazy and incompetent in football, Deadline day is certainly not the day. In most clubs, everyone are up and doing, scheming the best deals they can possibly get or even thwart. The goal here is to strengthen your squad and hope your main rivals gets weakened. Here are four clubs who are not in a position of strength and need to buy.
Sunderland
There won’t even be a list if Sunderland is not present especially when David Moyes’ enemies are working overtime. Already filled with a squad who are relatives to Claudio Bravo, David Moyes have also had to lose these players to the doctor’s room.
David Moyes knows they need to buy, Sunderland knows they have to buy but the question is, who wants to come? Any player who can improve Sunderland drastically is definitely not looking towards them- not with relegation pointing a gun in their face.
Sunderland have submitted more bids for Leicester City’s Ulloa than the points they have gathered in their last seven games. Losing Van Aanholt to Crystal Palace doesn’t help matters either. The only positive for Sunderland is being Everton’s trash can as they have dumped two unwanted players there, Bryan Oviedo and Darren Gibson. And people say there is no such thing as witches.
Crystal Palace
Sam Allardyce, the guy who could save a man falling from Mount Everest with his bare hands. Lately that hasn’t been the case though. Big Sam like he’s called atimes is likely struggling to save contacts on his phone.
Sam Allardyce knows where his problem lies and no it is not his mouth this time but in a defence that can’t be trusted to keep a clean sheet against infants. Van Aanholt and Schlupp have been signed from Sunderland and Leicester City and there are rumors that a move for Liverpool’s Sakho is on the cards as well.
Liverpool
Victories in 2017 for Liverpool has become as difficult as Sakho getting a front cover in Playboy Magazine. Jurgen Klopp already admitted that it is easier to find all of Solomon’s concubines than finding a trace of confidence in his team.
The return of Saido Mane would help in boasting a misfiring attack but the solution to that defense isn’t what the oracles would even sign up for. Liverpool and their nephew (Manchester City) have conceded the most goals in the top seven.
Liverpool are barely hanging on to a top four spot after exiting every other competition and with every passing game they look like they need help.
AC Milan
We are not exactly sure what AC Milan’s plans and ambitions are every season but we suspect it has something to do with football. Just when the football world was warming up to the idea of organizing a charity in order to epp AC Milan, Vincenzo Montella looked to have got them firing again. But AC Milan have since reverted to type and are now chopping the L once again.
Gerrard Deulofeu has already joined on loan and Lucas Ocampos is also set to join on loan from Genoa. With Milan bidding to return to Europe in the year Ronaldo and Messi’s kids start competing for Ballon d’or, the club still need quality players to help them achieve it.
