
Soldier Field will host the 2017 MLS All-Star Game. The 2017 MLS All-Star Game is headed to the city of Chicago, the league announced on Tuesday, with the match to be held at Soldier Field on Aug. 2. Veljko Paunovic, the head coach of the Chicago Fire, will manage the All-Star team, with an opponent to be announced at a later date. The event returns to the Chicago area for the first time since 2006, when the All-Stars beat Chelsea 1-0 at the Fire's Toyota Park.
